Watch: Lee Se Dol, Kyuhyun, Yoon So Hee, And More Face Ruthless Mind Games In “The Devil’s Plan: Death Room”

Netflix’s upcoming variety show “The Devil’s Plan: Death Room” has dropped a chilling new main poster and trailer!

Helmed by PD Jung Jong Yeon of “The Genius,” “The Great Escape,” and “Girls’ High School Mystery Class,” “The Devil’s Plan” is a high-stakes survival game show where contestants from diverse backgrounds live together for seven days and compete in intense competition and mind-bending games to claim the title of the ultimate brain.

The newly released poster features 14 determined contestants as they brace themselves for merciless prison matches inside the “Death Room.” This season, the prison system that added dramatic tension in Season 1 evolves into a full-fledged “prison wing.” Under a new rule, the top half of each Main Match moves into the living quarters, while the bottom half is sentenced to the prison wing—escalating the tension. As teased in the tagline “trickier moves and riskier alliances,” this new season promises a deeper dive into the volatile world of strategic cooperation and betrayal.

The main trailer showcases the intense dynamics at play—alliances forming, trust crumbling, and betrayals erupting as 14 players prepare to put everything on the line. Go legend Lee Se Dol makes his intentions clear: “It’s not about avoiding elimination—I’m here to win.” Seoul National University graduate and “EXchange 2” (“Transit Love 2”) star Jung Hyun Gyu ominously remarks, “Lee Se Dol is especially scary. I think I need to eliminate him,” only for Lee Se Dol to fire back: “I won’t get eliminated so easily.”

As the stakes rise, whispers of secret alliances fill the air: “I’ll make you king,” “We need a secret alliance.” But in this game, even carefully laid plans can unravel—fast.

One emotional clash sees Super Junior’s Kyuhyun saying to announcer Kang Ji Young: “You’re saying I betrayed you?” to which she shoots back, “Of course you did. You ditched our alliance.” Meanwhile, KAIST graduate and actress Yoon So Hee, always calculating, muses, “They might betray me later.”

Tension spikes further when actor Justin H. Min warns, “Can we talk for a second? He’s been controlling this whole thing.” At the same time, poker pro Seven High, eyes blazing, vows revenge: “I’m coming back from prison—and I’m going to destroy everything.”

The fierce competition for essential puzzle pieces intensifies as players are pushed to the edge. Kang Ji Young confesses, “They treated me like I’m not even a human because I have no pieces. Like I’m invisible.” KAIST grad and model Choi Hyun Joon adds, “Does he not have emotions? At the very least, shouldn’t we treat everyone with basic human dignity?”—adding emotional tension to the already heated atmosphere.

But perhaps most intriguing are the whispered rumors and chilling discoveries: “There’s something in the living quarters that doesn’t move like it should,” “Something happened in there—we heard a lot of screaming,” “It was beyond human imagination,” followed by the players’ screams and shocked reactions upon uncovering terrifying secrets.
