“YADANG: The Snitch” Surpasses 1 Million Moviegoers

“YADANG: The Snitch” has officially drawn over 1 million moviegoers!

According to the Korean Film Council, the film surpassed the 1 million viewer mark at 2:07 p.m. KST on April 23, its eighth day of release.

Since its premiere on April 16, “YADANG: The Snitch” has dominated the Korean box office, holding the No. 1 spot for seven consecutive days.

“YADANG: The Snitch” is a crime action film that follows an informant who supplies inside information on South Korea’s drug trade, a prosecutor eager to rise through the ranks, and a detective willing to risk everything to bring down drug-related crime. As their goals collide, a high-stakes showdown unfolds.

Led by standout performances from Kang Ha Neul, Yoo Hae Jin, Park Hae Joon, Ryu Kyung Soo, and Chae Won Bin, the film has earned acclaim for both its gritty realism and its biting social commentary—earning the nickname of a drug-world version of “Inside Men.”

The momentum isn’t slowing down anytime soon. On April 22—the start of its second week in theaters—the film attracted 91,360 moviegoers, outpacing even its opening day total of 85,705. This strong word-of-mouth buzz continues to fuel its growing popularity.

With advance ticket sales once again topping the charts and stage greetings set for this weekend in Seoul, “YADANG: The Snitch” shows no signs of letting up. All eyes are now on its next milestone.

Congratulations to the cast and crew!
