Kim Dong Jun Faces Lee Jung Hyun’s Wrath In “New Recruit 3”

Shinhwa Unit is on the verge of a major crisis in “New Recruit 3.”

“New Recruit” is a black comedy drama that delves into the lives of young adults in their 20s, exploring the culture, secrets, and absurdities of South Korea’s military. Season 3 throws Shinhwa unit into turmoil with the arrival of two unpredictable new recruits, the return of a notorious villain, and Park Min Seok (Kim Min Ho) facing an increasingly chaotic path to promotion, filled with more twists than ever.

The newly released stills capture the brewing crisis inside Dorm 3. Kang Chan Seok (Lee Jung Hyun) is shooting a fierce glare at Jeon Se Gye (Kim Dong Jun), who has just returned to the dormitory. The nervous look on Jeon Se Gye’s face hints at the gravity of the situation. In another image, Jeon Se Gye is grabbed by the collar, clearly flustered, leaving viewers eager to find out what provoked Kang Chan Seok’s explosive anger.

Meanwhile, another set of stills highlights the growing tension at a disciplinary committee hearing. Company Commander Jo Baek Ho (Oh Dae Hwan)’s final statement leaves Battalion Commander Nam Joong Beom (Jo Seung Yeon) with a grim expression. Adding to the intrigue, Platoon Leader Oh Seok Jin (Lee Sang Jin) suddenly appears at the committee—and stuns everyone with an unexpected statement. All eyes are now on the outcome of Jo Baek Ho’s disciplinary hearing.

The production team shared, “Jeon Se Gye’s secret, which caused him to be excluded from duties and training, will be revealed. An unexpected event will also unfold during Company Commander Jo Baek Ho’s disciplinary hearing. Please look forward to how Oh Seok Jin’s appearance will shake up the proceedings—and how the now tightly bonded Shinhwa Unit will overcome the crisis together.”

The next episode of “New Recruit 3” airs on April 28 at 10 p.m. KST.
