Korean Singers Win Big at Japan Gold Disc Awards

A number of South Korean pop stars were among the winners at the 20th Japan Gold Disc Awards.

At the award ceremony held Thursday at the NHK hall in Tokyo, Korean singer "K" won four prizes for his single album "Only Human", including one given to albums that have sold more than 250,000 copies.

BoA took home the "Rock and Pop Album of the Year" award for her album "Best of Soul," marking her fourth straight year for to win a prize at the event.

Singers Seven and Park Yong-ha both won a special prize marking the South Korea-Japan Friendship Year 2005. Park also won the "Song of the Year" award for his single, "Truth."
