Kwon Sang-woo to Help Earthquake Victims in Japan
2006-04-24
Actor Kwon Sang-woo, one of the Korean stars leading the Korean Wave throughout Asia, will hold a live talk show in Hukuoka, Japan in July to help earthquake victims there.
The talk show was planned as Kwon had expressed the hope of doing something to encourage victims after hearing about the earthquake in Hukuoka in March last year. He will donate part of the proceeds from the show to help in the restoration of the region.
Earlier in February, Kwon held an auction in Japan where he sold costumes he wore in the movie “Running Wild” to help those in need. He donated the proceeds from the auction to Make A Wish, the nonprofit organization for children with incurable diseases.
