Song Hye Gyo leads the movie “Hwang Jin Yi (황진이)"

5/3/06 – Song Hye Gyo is selected to lead the movie “Hwang Jin Yi (황진이, 黃眞伊)”. This movie portrays Hwang Jin Yi’s multiple identity and her love stories with many men. SHG just had her movie debut “My Girl and I (파랑주의보, aka ‘Green Alert’)” around the end of last year.  This new movie is her first historical film in which she will have a great deal of character transformation. 

The production company is “Cine2000 (씨네2000)”, and the director is Jang Yoon Hyun (장윤현) whose previous works include “The Contact (접속, 1999)” and “Tell Me Something (텔미썸딩, 1999)”. As soon as the lead actor is finalized, the filming will start.  The debut is scheduled in winter 2006.
