Top 20 - June week 3

Buzz’s “남자를 몰라” (Doesn’t Know A Man’s Heart) leapfrogs 5 other songs to become a surprise No. 1 hit this week. This song’s sudden rise is because it has been sharing the scores with their other 2 songs “My Darling” and “Reds Go Together” from the same album. Under our scoring rules, sales scores will be prorated between hit songs from the same album. This week, “My Darling” is off the chart, and “Reds Go Together” still only has a nominal score even though Buzz is starting to perform this song on gayo shows. All of these make “남자를 몰라” gaining a lot of score.

Last week’s No. 1 Baek Ji Young’s “사랑안해” dropped to No. 2 despite gaining in score. Shinhwa’s “Once In A Lifetime” stays at No. 3. As I mentioned last week, this song is not yet listed on MNet’s M!Countdown chart yet, and the show is off for the next 2 weeks. Shinhwa may have to wait for the last week of June to make another significant move.

3 songs made big jumps this week – Bada’s "VIP" moves up 7 spots to No. 5, it’s highest spot on the chart. This song was on the way down last week, but fewer competition in June made this song rebound. Byul scores another top 10 hit, moving up 9 spots with "눈물샘" (Lachrymal Glands). Also, Sweet Sorrow’s "아무리 생각해도 난 너를" (No Matter How Much I think, To You…I Am…) from "Alone In Love" became the first TV drama song to hit the top 10 on this chart, moving up 8 spots to No. 10.

2 new songs this week, led by legendary hip hop group Uptown’s new song “My Style” at No. 16. Uptown has recently re-grouped and released their 5th album “Testimony”, with Jessica H.O. replacing T (Tasha) as the female vocalist. Also entering the chart is a Korean-Chinese collobration between Kangta and Vanness (F4). Their song “Scandal” debuts at No. 20 this week. This is the first time a non-Korean artist has appeared on our top 20 chart.
