Top 20 - July week 1

Shinhwa strengthens its hold onto the top spot with "Once In A Lifetime". Now that this song is represented in every chart in Korea (including M!Net), they scored almost 100 points better than last week. Baek Ji Young’s "사랑안해" (I Won’t Love) is still at No. 2. Her song is really popular on the internet charts. Now she has a tough decision to make – whether to continue to promote another ballad song as her 2nd single, or to go back to her familiar Latin dance beat songs. We’ll find out soon.

The biggest mover of the week belongs to Superjunior’s "U", up 13 big spots to No. 3. It is very likely that this song will be our next No. 1 song.

This is a very active week as we see 5 new songs getting into the chart. Leading the way is SG Wannabe’s follow up song "느림보" (Slow steps) at No. 9, replacing "내사람" (Partner for life). Kim Hyun Jung also debuts into the top 10 with her trademark dance hit "굳세어라현정아" (Dance with Hyun Jung) at No. 10. She hasn’t had a top 10 hit for a long time.

Kangta and Vanness re-enters the chart this week with their song "Scandal". It fares much better this time as the song reaches No. 13. The 3rd single by See Ya "구두" (Slipper) is at No. 16, replacing "사랑하기 때문에" (Because of Love). The last new song at No. 17 is by a new co-ed group Typhoon’s "그래서…" (So). Their music reminds us of Koyote.

Songwriter’s honor roll: Vibe’s Ryu Jae Hyun has written 3 songs on the top 20 this week. Besides his own "그남자 그여자" (That Man, That Woman), he also wrote the hits by his good friend SG Wannabe and See Ya this week. Congratulations to him.
