Singers cautioned to take care of their voices during winter

As the weather continues to be cold and dry, artists with busy end-and-beginning-of-the year schedules are suffering harm to their vocal cords, which are the very resource of their livelihood. Baek Ji-young, whose 6th album, ‘Love is Enough’ did well last year, is scheduled to undergo surgery to have a vocal cyst removed this month. Whee Sung, who completed an end-of-the-year nationwide concert tour, has also discovered he’s having vocal problems and is deliberating whether or not to get surgery. And Park Jung-hyun, who has released a new album, has been diagnosed as having the early stages of a vocal cyst and has decided to adjust her schedule. In the case of artist Maybee, she has chosen to rest instead of undergoing surgery for fear of having her voice change.
