Comment: It can’t get any closer than this!  DBSG’s "Mirotic" remains No. 1 for the another week.  Last week, "Mirotic" held off Wonder Girls’ "Nobody" by 2 points, and this week the margin of victory is even thinner as only 1 point separates the 2 songs.  It is almost a vitural tie, but DBSG managed to stay on top.

Comment: Another week of hard luck for the Wonder Girls as they inched closer to the top and just lost by the slimmest margin.  "Nobody" is expected to overtake "Mirotic" next week as DBSG’s song is no longer on SBS Inky Gayo Take 7 after 3 weeks of winning the Mutizen award and has retired.  That part of the scores should help Wonder Girls and we’ll see if it is enough to move them up to No. 1 next week.

Comment: This is Bi (Rain)’s 1st album after leaving JYP Entertainment and establishing his own company. For the past few years, Bi has established himself as an international star, doing concerts all over Asia and also plans for a US debut.  He has not spent too much time back home in Korea.  But now he has finally released his 5th album, two years after his 4th.  Fans are delighted to see him on stage again, and his dancing is as good as ever.  By adding "-ism" to his name, the title promotes a new ideology and concept that capture the essence of who he is and what he represents.

Comment: The King of ballads is back!  Shin Seung Hoon is one of the most veteran k-pop singers.  Most of us know him from the song "I Believe".  Unlike past albums, this single is like a "project" mini-album for Shin Seung Hoon.  Instead of traditional pop ballads, this album has a more acoustic rock sound.  Title song "Turn On The Radio" is our biggest mover this week.  Despite having minimal promotional activities, this album has been ranked consistently among the top sellers since its release, showing that Shin Seung Hoon is still very popular among more mature audiences.

Comment: SNSD member Tae Yeon scores her 2nd solo top-20 song with yet another drama OST ballad.  This time it is from the MBC Drama "Beethoven Virus".  Tae Yeon’s previous top 20 hit "If" was from the KBS drama "Hong Gil Dong".  We can see that Tae Yeon has improved a lot on this song "Can You Hear Me?".  Fellow SNSD member Seo Hyun plays the piano for Tae Yeon’s live performances.  We haven’t had a drama OST song debuting this high in the chart for years.  Let’s see if this song can move up to the top 10.

Comment: Jang Keun E’s Universal Love Song is a project track for MBC’s “Introducing a Star’s Friend”. It was given to Jang by MC Mong, who was going to include it in his 5th album. MC Mong decided to give it as a gift of friendship. The song harmonizes analog synthesizers with piano lines. Its concise rhythms flow well with Jang Geun E’s excellent rap. Included in the song is MC Mong’s characteristic rap and Yuri (of Cool)’s charming voice, which brings out the melody. Last August, Jang Keun E came out on the show as MC Mong’s friend and a month later came back on the show with this track. (credits to motoway065)
