Turtles – 빙고 (Bingo)
Genre: Pop / Hip-hop
Album: Turtles Vol. 3 Track 4
Watch: MV Live Performance
Comment: Turtles was a three-membered K-pop / hip-hop group that debuted in 2001. Front man and leader Turtleman wrote all the group’s songs and also took part in singing and rapping. Z-E is the female rapper, and Gumpi is the main vocalist (Su Bin was the vocalist on their 1st album, with Gumpi replacing her starting on the 2nd album). Their songs are always joyful and fun to listen to, and they are like the hip-hop version of Cool. "Bingo" is probably the first big hit of the group that solidify their place in k-pop. Later, the single "Airplane" (bihaengi) from their fourth album topped the KBS chart in September 2006. Unfortunately, "Turtleman" (born Lim Sung-hoon), died of a heart attack on April 2, 2008 and Turtles officially announced their disbandment early this year. (credits to ~S2~)
