K.Will’s new song ‘Hypnotism’ banned from KBS?
K Will’s new song ‘Hypnotism’ has been banned from KBS.
The song ‘Hypnotism’, from K Will’s new album
‘Miss, Miss and Miss’, has been the topic amongst music fans for
featuring rapper Outsider. And even before the the album release, the song has
been banned from broadcast on KBS.
The part of the lyrics which were problematic goes, “Everything is a
lie, once everything has stopped, again there will be harsher words to
me and you will want me to go come back again, I want to be mad at you.
Speechless dumb, stubborn piece of paranoid, I’ll still promise to love
only you forever”. The word ‘dumb /deaf-mute’ was used, KBS thought
that it is inappropriate for broadcast as there is comparison to the
disabled in the lyrics.
K Will’s company said that they have originally wanted to use the
song as the followup hit for K Will’s promotions. They also revealed
that they have no intentions for comparisons to the disabled, “It is
just a metaphor describing how one is like a dumb unable to express
one’s emotions to his loved one.”
Meanwhile, it has not been decided if they will apply for review of the song again.
K Will is currently promoting the title song for his new album ‘Miss, Miss and Miss’.
