Tamra, The Island OST starts off with the ending theme of the drama. It’s an interesting peaceful track that really suits the drama. The next track is an English track which I felt was a very melodramatic piece.
There are artists like HowL, who has sung for many OSTs like Goong, Boys Over Flowers and Cain and Abel along with After School and Sunny Side who both are making names for themselves in the music industry. HowL’s first song in the OST titled “Hey Yeah” is an amazing song. It not only showcases his beautiful vocals but the calmness of the song makes it breathtaking. The second song he sings is just as wonderful because of the great melody. As for the song that After School sings with Sunny Side, I found it to have a nice ring to it. The one song that really stood out for me was “Loveland” by U주. I really fell in love with the song because of the soothing beautiful vocals.
I found the OST to be really unexpected. When I saw HowL’s name as one of the singers, I had assumed only his songs were the only good ones however, all the tracks were quite nice. The music were really peaceful and soothing. They were unique and different, so as the drama itself. The album was an exquisite one.
