2PM remains No. 1 this week with “Heartbeat”, still increasing in
points and widen the gap with the rest of the competition. In this era

their very first full studio album titled “1:59”, where listeners can
see how much they matured. The title track is “Heartbeat” which does
not have an exact genre but shows 2PM’s style. One can hear the sounds
of a person’s heart palpitation along with drums and a full orchestra,
which all flow together to make a dynamic feel.

YESTERDAY ONCE MORE:
Chakra – 난 너에게 (To You)
Genre: Pop
Album: Chakra Vol. 4 (2003) Track 1
Watch: MV Live Performance
Comment:
Chakra is 4-member girl group with Hwang Bo, Jung Ryu Won, Eun, and
Bora. They were very popular in the early 2000s, probably just below
the Big Three girl groups at the time (FINKL, SES, Baby Vox). They had
a No. 1 song “End” in 2001. “To You” was the title song from their 4th
and final album “Tomato”, and was also their last hit song. It has an
easy listening melody and was one of my favorite songs at that time.
Chakra broke up after this album. Jung Ryu Won landed one of the lead
roles in the massively popular MBC Drama “My Name Is Kim Sam Soon”, and
has become a very popular actress now. Hwang Bo also made her comeback
as a solo artist and later starred in the variety show “We Got
Married”, becoming a multi-talented and popular entertainer these days.
When you watch the MV and their live performance on this song, it
brings back a lot of fond memories.
