Trax returns as a two-member group with their first mini album. The title track “가슴이 차가운 남자(Let You Go)” is a very interesting track. It’s actually quite nicer than I had imagined, filled with a hint of a rock yet pop-ballad feel. “One Night” was an odd track, I guess kind of expectant of an artist coming from SM, but in a good way. The song is unique and unexpected but exceptional. “Goodbye Lover” was a very pleasant ballad type of track while “I Can Change” had a more upbeat tempo. However, not knowing what exactly to expect from Trax, I have to say the album was not what I had wanted to hear. I guess I had expected more rock sounding songs than what actually consisted of the album. None of the songs were terribly bad but they just felt like ‘typical’ K-Pop songs and I was looking for a bit more than just that. The vocals weren’t bad, the songs themselves weren’t bad but I had expected more ‘wow’ than I got from listening to the album. The album is worth a listen though.
