DBSK Announces Activities Suspension
While still very popular in Japan, South Korea boy band Dong Bang Shin Ki announced today
through their management agency AVEX that they would suspend their
activities in Japan. The label company will continue to support solo
activities of all five members.
According to the announcement , this decision is result from
discussions among the members and staffs. “Each of 5 members decided to
go and walk towards their own direction of dream.” he said.
About “Tohoshinki”There is information about our
companies artist “Tohoshinki”.– They will stop/pause their activities as “Tohoshinki”
As “Tohoshinki” they will pause their activities but for young people
with a future and who has talents, we will support each of the 5 members
activities.From on now please watch “Junsu” “Yoochun” “Jaejoong” “Changmin”

Max Matsuura, president of AVEX, had also twittered a message regarding today’s news. “I already did everything I could. In the end, the result is a bitter
one. I will do my best to support their decision. If it is what they
wish for, I believe that I should do everything I could within my
limitation to support all of them who are already flying high. It
doesn’t matter what my standpoint is, my feelings are no different from
the sadness of every Tohoshinki’s fan.”
After the contract lawsuit with SM in Korea last fall, DBSK had been focusing their activities in Japan. Their recent “Best Selection 2010” album which was released in February achieved double platinum status, having sold
over 500,000 copies. Their latest single in Japan “Tokiwo Tomete” was released on March 24 and had just reached the top of the Oricon Charts.
