Actor Lee Jun-Ki Featured in Korean Learning Book
Popular Hallyu (Korean Wave) star Lee Jun-Ki, widely known for his roles in “My Girl”, “Iljimae”, “The King and the Clown”, participates in the upcoming Korean Language teaching book “Hello~ Korean.” He is greatly involved in the planning stages of the book, and has even lent his voice for the audio teaching material. He states that:
“Everytime I go for overseas activities, I am very touched by fans who make the extra effort to learn Korean to communicate with me.
Even though there’s a growing interest from foreigners who desires to learn the Korean language, there is a lack of suitable learning material for beginners. So I decided to participate in this project for free. I hope that my little bit of effort can be of assistance to those who wants to learn the Korean language.” (credit to Lee-Junki.com)
After news has spread that Lee was to be part of the book, the publishers have been flooded with calls and emails inquiries – not just from the fans, but also from several language schools asking for permission to use the book for their Korean classes.
The textbook will be available in a total of 4 languages – English, Japanese, Chinese and Korean. Preorder of “Hello~ Korean” will be avaliable on online retailers such as Yes24 starting on Friday, and offline bookstores will be in stock starting from May 26th.
Lee is currently fulfilling his mandatory military service, and is receiving training at Nonsan military camp.
