2PM Begins Promotions in Japan, Including DVD Release and "2PM Cafe"
2PM has kicked off promotions for their first DVD release in Japan. The DVD, which is titled “Hottest~2PM 1st Music Video Collection & The History~”, contains seven of their hit music videos. It will be released in stores across Japan starting tomorrow. The DVD release will mark their official debut in the country.
JYP Entertainment announced on Monday that they have collaborated with Manduka Cafe to open a 2PM Cafe, where fans can listen to their songs, receive 2PM paraphernalia, and enjoy refreshments. The cafe is located in Tokyo’s Shibuya district. The 2PM Cafe will stay open for ten days. (We would love to visit the 2PM cafe… will patrons be able to sit back and enjoy a Taecyeon latte or a Nichkhun croissant?)
(Okay, on second thought, we’ve located this menu excerpt from the Manduka Cafe site, which we think is regarding the 2PM promotion. Guess there will be no 2PM-themed coffees or pastries. But the refreshments look almost as attractive as the boys!)
“We have done several collaboration events for Korean and Japanese artists, but this is the first time that we have received so many inquiries. People have already called to make reservations a week prior to the event,” a cafe employee was quoted as saying.
On Monday, a DVD preview event was held in the Sony Building, located in the Ginza district. Over 1,000 fans showed up to take pictures with life-size cutouts of the 2PM members, as well as watch excerpts of the DVD.
