Kim Hyun Joong and Jang Geun Suk Win Big at Yahoo! Buzz Awards

Congratulations to the new crop of hallyu stars! Kim Hyun Joong and Jang Geun Suk picked up several trophies at the Yahoo! Buzz Awards 2010. The awards ceremony was held on December 17 in Hong Kong.

Kim won three awards, including the Top Buzz Korean artists in Hong Kong and Taiwan, as well as the Best Searched Asia Buzz award. Jang picked up the Top Buzz Star honors in Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Indonesia, as well as the Male Buzz Star award.

Unfortunately, Jang was not able to attend the ceremony due to his busy schedule, but he took the time to thank his fans. “I was surprised and thankful that I was able to receive all this attention and love from fans in the countries I haven’t visited yet,” he said.

Kim, however, was able to pick up his trophies in person. “I want to thank all my fans in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and other Asian countries for showing their love. I will work harder in the future,” he said.

The Yahoo! Buzz Awards is a ceremony which awards celebrities whose names have attained a high number of searches on that search engine. The fans also decide the outcome of the awards by voting in a poll that ran for a month prior to the ceremony.
