Winners Announced at the KBS Drama Awards

Jang Hyuk was the man of the night at the 2010 KBS Drama Awards, which were held at the KBS Open Hall on December 31.  The actor received grand prize for his starring role as Dae Gil in the historial drama “The Slave Hunters”.  This is the first award he’s received during one of the year End ceremonies.  “The Slave Hunters” won big that evening, collecting trophies in five categories, including best actor (Kim Gap Soo, first place; Oh Ji Ho, second place), supporting actor (Sung Dong Il), and best couple (Jang Hyuk and Lee Da Hae).  Other winners included “Sungkyunkwan Scandal”, which took home five awards, and “Bread, Love, and Dreams”, which took home six.  The popularity awards went to Song Joong Ki for “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” and Moon Geun Young for “Mary Stayed Out All Night” and “Cinderella’s Sister”.  The best couple awards also went to Jang Geun Suk and Moon Geun Young, Yoon Si Yoon and Lee Young Ah, Soong Joong Ki, Yoo Ah In, Park Yoochun, and Park Min Young.

Jang Hyuk accepted his award simply, saying,  “It’s already been 15 years since I started acting and I want to thank everyone at my agency and turn the honor to my parents, my wife and son.”
