“You’re Beautiful’s” Jung Yong Hwa and Park Shin Hye Reunite for “Festival”
Jung Yong Hwa and Park Shin Hye will reunite for a new melo-drama titled “Festival,” (title is yet to be set in stone) directed by Pyo Min Soo. “Festival” is set at an arts college with a focus on young love, friendship, and dreams. Attention for this new project is mounting as Director Pyo Min Soo, who directed “The World They Live In” and “Full House,” and new Hallyu stars Jung Yong Hwa and Park Shin Hye team up. Jung plays modern music student Lee Shin, a vocalist in a pretty boy band that is mega-popular with female fans. Park’s character, Lee Gyu Won, is from a family of traditional pansori singers who consider only guk-ack, traditional Korean classical music, as real music. Her character is described as a lively and upbeat music student.
Both his role in “You’re Beautiful” and his activities in CNBlue made Jung Yong Hwa the perfect choice for Lee Shin. Park’s cute looks and excellent acting skills made her the ideal candidate for Lee Gyu Won. Fans are even more excited for the upcoming drama because Jung and Park showed great chemistry in their past drama “You’re Beautiful.” MBC’s “Festival” will air its first episode on June 22nd.
