Will.i.am Meets 2NE1 in Korea

Black Eyed Peas’ star rapper/producer Will.i.am has met with the members of 2NE1 at the YG Entertainment headquarters in Seoul on May 2^nd. Upon his arrival in Seoul on Monday, Will.i.am held a four hour meeting with Yang Hyun Suk, the head of YGE, and their main producer Teddy to go over plans for 2NE1’s future promotions in the U.S. Following the meeting, the star rapper took photos with 2NE1, which was immediately posted on his Twitter page, as he expressed his willingness to produce a new single for the girl group.

Will.i.am and 2NE1 have worked together multiple times already in New York, Los Angeles, and London. In a recent interview, he said, “I’m working really hard to make 2NE1 not just a popular Korean band, but a super star across many countries,” so many fans are anticipating the release of a joint album in the U.S. following this meeting.

In the mean time, 2NE1 is expected to unveil their new single, “Lonely,” on May 12^th. Will.i.am will wrap up his three-day trip in Seoul on May 4^th.
