“City Hunter” Teases With Lee Min Ho’s Steamy Shower Scene
What Korean drama is complete without its creepy but sexy shower scenes of its male leads? With the first episode airing tonight, May 25th, SSD released teaser photos of Lee Min Ho’s shower scene. In “City Hunter,” Lee Min Ho plays Lee Yoon Sung, a MIT graduate who works in the Blue House National Communications Team as a top government agent.
In order to express his multi-talented character as well as possible, Lee Min Ho has been mastering various fields like the martial arts, gunnery, and judo over the past several months. On May 15th, he exposed his toned body to shoot the shower scene.
In the scene, Lee Yoon Sung had just completed his judo training with fellow agents of the National Blue Team before showering. While he is skilled in various areas, including the martial arts, he hides his abilities and pretends to be nonathletic. As a result, he showers alone to hide the scars, from all the fighting and training, on his back from his coworkers. .
Representatives of SSD stated, “The public will finally be able to see all the hard work Lee Min Ho, Park Min Young, Lee Joon Hyuk, Goo Hara, and Hwang Sun Hee along with director Jin Hyuk put into ‘City Hunter.’”
“City Hunter’s” original soundtrack (OST) has also made headlines befor ethe drama’s premiere. Legendary rock singer Lim Jae Bum sang the theme song “Love,” and as soon as it’s release, it topped five music charts: Mnet, Bugs Music, Melon, Soribada, and Dosirak. It’s extremely rare for an OST to take the No. 1 spot in all five charts, but it’s one measure of all the hype and expectations set for the drama.
“City Hunter” is based on the best-selling Japanese manga by Hojo Tsukasa, which sold over a million copies just in Korea. The original manga by Tsukasa is set in Tokyo during the 1980s, but the drama adaptation will take place in modern day Seoul. “City Hunter” premieres tonight, May 25th, at 9:55PM on SBS.
