MBC’s beloved drama “The Greatest Love” finally came to an end last night—with a happy ending! The final episode showed Dokko Jin (Chan Seung Won) and Gu Ae Jung (Gong Hyo Jin) getting married and starting a family by giving birth to a beautiful daughter.
Dokko Jin publicly proposed to Gu Ae Jung on air, “I feel like I’m captivated as if I’m hypnotized and I can’t control myself as if I’m broke. Gu Ae Jung, you’re the greatest love for Dokko Jin. Gu Ae Jung, I love you.”
Following Dokko Jin’s proposal, Gu Ae Jung held a wedding with him, and she enjoyed a happy ending after overcoming various hardships such as suffering from fans’ blame and criticisms and a car accident.

Meanwhile, MBC’s “The Greatest Love” surpassed 20% viewer ratings for the first time, with their highest record of 21.0%, according to statistics by AGB Nielsen Media Research. Meanwhile, KBS’s “Romance Town” and SBS’s “City Hunter” which are aired during the same time slot received 8.5% and 14.6%, respectively.
