G-Dragon Visits Japan to Work on Big Bang Members’ Solo Albums?

Korean media Ilkan Sports reported today that G-Dragon was spotted on a recent flight to Japan as he’s currently working on each Big Bang member’s individual album.

When asked about the reason for G-Dragon’s recent trip to Japan, a YG official was quoted as saying, “G-Dragon flew to Japan last week with his manager to collect some new songs. He met with Japanese producers to build musical and business relationships, and to discuss new albums as well. He’s back in Korea now. All the Big Bang members, except Daesung, are currently working on solo albums. Based on the progress of each album, the member who is most prepared will release his album first.”

According to multiple K-pop officials, G-Dragon was seen on a flight from Seoul to Tokyo last week. He was on business class, but his extraordinary fashion sense caught the eyes of many passengers, the report said. “There was someone with very unique outfits sitting in business class. You could easily tell it was a celebrity, and it turned out to be G-Dragon. There weren’t many Koreans on business class so he seemed very much at ease,” an official was quoted as saying.

G-Dragon has been sweeping Korean music charts lately with his special single, “I Cheated,” featuring comedian Park Myung Soo and 2NE1’s Park Bom. But due to Daesung’s recent car accident, he hasn’t been able to pursue any group activities with other Big Bang members.

Meanwhile, more than 300 European fans gathered in front of the Trafalgar Square in London over the weekend to hold a flashmob aimed at bringing YG artists to the UK. YG artists, like Big Bang and 2NE1, have been invited to the “London Thames Festival” scheduled for this September as they are one of the most highly anticipated groups to make a visit to Europe.
