2NE1 Ranks #4 on Billboard’s World Album Chart
2NE1 has made it to the Billboard music charts again with their second mini album. According to Billboard.com on August 4th, 2NE1’s second mini album has ranked #4 on this week’s “World Album Charts.” The group has previously went up as high as #7 on the same chart with their first regular album last year.
Although the “World Album Charts” does not carry the same significance as the more prestigious “Billboard Top 200 Album Chart,” today’s feat is still considered a meaningful step forward since 2NE1 achieved it without any U.S. promotions.
2NE1’s second mini album has enjoyed massive success in Korea with all five tracks from the album sweeping the top spot on various Korean music charts. It also ranked #2 and #3 on the electronics chart of iTunes in the U.S. and Canada, while the “Lonely” music video was the most watched M/V on YouTube in Korea.
2NE1 is scheduled to hold their first solo concert, “NOLZA,” from August 26th to 28th, and make their Japanese debut in September.
