"Protect The Boss" Garners Explosive Overseas Attention

SBS‘ new Wednesday-Thursday drama “Protect The Boss” has garnered overseas attention after only the second episode.

After premiering with strong ratings last week, SBS Information Center, who is in charge of exporting various SBS programs, revealed that they are currently in talks with several distributors around Asia. They stated, “For “Protect the Boss”, the current level of interest from overseas is explosive, and it is the drama receiving the most attention from the Asian markets.” 

After only the second episode, countries including Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines and others have already expressed their interest to air the drama domestically.

This feat is being attributed to JYJ‘s Kim Jaejoong‘s role as Cha Mu Won in the drama. Jaejoong previously appeared in the 2010 Japanese drama “Hard To Say I Love You“, and is a known presence around Asia as both an actor and singer.

“Protect The Boss”, starring Ji Sung, Choi Kang Hee, Kim Jaejoong and Wang Ji Hye, airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 9:55PM on SBS.
