Super Junior's "Mr. Simple" Surpasses 100,000 Copies Sold
Super Junior’s fifth album “Mr. Simple” has surpassed 100,000 copies sold after only two weeks since it went on sale. This is according to the reports culled from the country’s participating retailers that count towards the Hanteo charts. “Mr. Simple” has also stayed in first place of the Hanteo charts for two consecutive weeks.
This information on the sales of the “Mr. Simple” record puts Super Junior at the forefront of chart-toppers in the second half of the year and thus far makes them the second-highest for 2011, following another male group, Big Bang. Big Bang’s 4th mini-album, released in the first half of 2011, has sold 120,000 copies upon release.
Super Junior’s comeback performances to promote the album began on KBS’ “Music Bank” in early August, with the tracks “SUPERMAN” and “Mr. Simple.”
