T-ara's "Roly Poly" Reaches Over $2 Million in Sales
Korea’s sweetheart, IU has been riding high all year as the sales from “Good Day” reached $1.3 million, making it the highest selling single of the year. But all good things must come to an end and a new song has come along to take the title of highest selling single. Considering some of the huge singles this year, it may or may not be a song you expect!
The song is “Roly Poly” by T-ara! The group’s mini album “John Travolta Wannabe” was released in July, and proved to be a delightful collection of addictive music as it brought them to #1 spots on Mnet’s M!Countdown and SBS’ Inkigayo.
Confirmed by Core Contents Media, the song has been on top for ten weeks and has an average daily sale figure $30,000, which is amazing when taking into account the problem of illegal music downloading nowadays. Congratulations to T-ara and their dedicated fans!
T-ara finished promotions for “Roly Poly” on a high note this weekend, and they are getting ready to promote their Japanese single, “Bo Peep Bo Peep.”
