f(x)'s Members Share Pictures Commemorating f(x)'s Second Anniversary
In honor of their second year anniversary, f(x) members Amber and Luna snapped a selca celebrating the group’s second anniversary. They thanked their fans for supporting them through the two years with the cute selca.
Fellow member Krystal also shared pictures of the members on her me2day. She posted individual shots of each member and also one photo of them all together. She also wrote, “f(x) turned two years old! Let’s do this until all our members are at least 100!”
Netizens commented on the photos saying, “Already two years?”, “Congrats”, and “You all worked so hard.”
The group debuted on September 5, 2009 on Show! Music Core with their first single, “La Cha Ta.” In October, the girls released “Chocolate Love (Electro-pop version)” for LG Cyon’s New Chocolate Phone alongside fellow SM Entertainment artists SNSD. The group released their first single album “Chu~♡” in November of 2009.
In January of 2010, the girls moved into the Chinese market with a collaboration with Chinese boy band, M.I.C, titled “Lollipop.” Like their seniors Big Bang and 2NE1, the song promoted a LG Cyon cellphone. In May, f(x) released their first mini album “Nu ABO”, with their lead single “Nu ABO” topping online music portal charts and the Gaon Weekly Chart. They also promoted their other promotional single from Nu ABO, “Mr. Boogie.”
In 2011, after rapper Amber’s long leave to the US, the group released their first full-length album, “Pinocchio” and took eight wins on music shows with their title track, “Pinocchio (Danger).” The group then released their repackaged album of Pinocchio as “Hot Summer” and promoted that song during the month of June.
Now in September of 2011, two years have already passed since their debut. However, another debut awaits them as they will soon be making their Japanese debut in 2012. We look forward to more of what f(x) will bring to the Korean pop music scene as “Asia’s Pop Dance Group.”
