Leessang’s Gil And Gary Used to Be Movie Actors?

With the recent release of Leessang’s seventh album and with the rising popularity of Gil and Gary through their appearances on numerous hit variety shows, there has been a growing interest into LeeSsang’s past– and one fan has managed to dig up an interesting old photo.

In a posting on a Korean message board titled “Leessang’s Amazing Past,” one fan posted up an interesting photo from the 2008 movie “Dachimawa Lee,” showing Gil and Gary in a scene from the movie.

The scene in question shows the protagonist Dachimawa Lee (played by Lim Won Hee) rescuing Mara (played by Park Si Yeon) from a group of gang members. Gary and Gil cameod here and were part of the gang members. The photo posted shows them laughing and putting on comedic expressions.

Leessang, along with Epik High, had participated in the OST for the movie by producing its ending theme song. Their participation came from their love for movies and their friendship with actor Ryu Seung Beom, who was one of the cast members and the film’s director Ryu Seung Wan, Ryu Seung Beom’s brother.

LeeSsang will also be holding a concert in Seoul titled “Leessang Theatre” starting from November 4 for four days.
