K-Pop Stars to Visit Peru for Volunteer Work
In celebration of their 50th anniversary, MBC will be running a special program titled, “KOICA’s Dream: Peru,” with six celebrity teams participating in a volunteer trip to Peru.
Participating celebrities include Park Bo Young, MBLAQ‘s G.O. and Mir, Park Jung Ah, Goo Jun Yub, and Kim Ho Jin. They will be leaving for Peru on September 14 for two weeks to help rebuild schools and bathrooms with 20 medical staff who will also provide medial treatment and vaccine services. They’ll also teach Korean and spread Korean culture like Taekwondo to local people. The group will return to Korea on Sept. 28.
“KOICA’s Dream” has been running annually, visiting impoverished countries with volunteer staff to give charity and show love. MBC will not only be traveling to Peru, but also Paraguay, Sri Lanka, Ethiopia, Senegal, and others as part of the program.
