Song Seung Hun Confirmed to Replace Lee Sang Yoon in "Brain"

After reports of shake-ups in the cast of upcoming “Brain,” news is out that Song Seung Hun has accepted one of the lead roles in the medical drama. There was early buzz that he was offered to play the ambitious neurosurgeon character that Lee Sang Yoon was slated to take on.

Lee Sang Yoon, as well as actress Yoon Seung Ah, who was supposed to play his love interest exited the drama, as production executives deemed them too youthful to effectively play their doctor characters. Lee Hyun Jin and Kim Soo Hyun, initially cast in supporting roles, are also out.

Along with Song Seung Hun, “Brain” stars Jung Jin Young, the only original cast member left. Other actors to fill in vacated spots have yet to be announced.

“Brain” centers on neurosurgeons in a Seoul university hospital. It follows the currently airing “Poseidon” on KBS in November.
