Yoo Seung Joon Returning to Korea?

For those of you that didn’t know, Yoo Seung Joon was a top star before his military service incident. Despite having both American and Korean citizenships, Yoo Seung Joon appeared on different shows stating that he would still go through with his military service.

However, the day he was supposed to enlist, Yoo Seung Joon did not go through with it, and instead gave up his Korean citizenship in an apparant move to avoid the mandatory military service. Since then he has been hated by the Korean public and was banned by the Korean government to re-enter the country. That is partly the reason why he is pursuing celebrity activities in China.

A TV show called “Comeback Show Top 10” made an interesting offer before its first broadcast on November 16. The PD Kim Jong Jin stated, “We will hold a vote that represents the whole nation and if Yoo Seung Joon receives at least a 33.3% vote in favor of allowing him to re-enter South Korea, we will begin to lobby in order to bring him back to South Korea.”

Netizens that have come across the news commented, “Is it possible for anyone to comeback if they receive a 33.3% vote?” and “Is it possible for a singer like Yoo Seung Joon to comeback as well?”

The show “Comeback Show Top 10” will continue to hold votes for singers to comeback. Singers from the 90s will have a chance to hold promotions in four different cities and the voting will go on for 24 hours. A singer needs to receive at least 33.3% of votes in order to survive.
