SNSD Talks About Their Comeback, Thanks Fans For Support
The Korean girl group SNSD has recently achieved an “all-kill” with their newest hit single “The Boys” taking over all major music charts. They were very thankful for their achievement and expressed their grateful feelings in an interview with Joy News 24 (Korean news organization).
On Oct. 21, the girls managed to give a very powerful performance for their comeback singing their two hit songs “The Boys” and “Mister Taxi” (their Japanese single) on KBS 2TV’s “Music Bank“.
The members of the group stated the following, “We are always very nervous when we release a new album. We also have great expectations since it has been a while that we have been active in Korea. Our new single “The Boys” shows a whole other side of us, so we were both excited and nervous about the audience’s reception. We have never been this nervous before actually.”
They continued, “We performed the shooting of our performance in front of our loyal fans and we are very happy about that. It was our first comeback performance, so we are very happy that it went smoothly. We really want to thank our fans.”
SNSD’s ‘The Boys’ music video managed to get over 8 million views on a global scale, while taking over major music charts and breaking huge sale records. The members were very grateful for this achievement and commented, “We did not have the chance to check the internet because we were so busy preparing our comeback. We found out about these results just recently and we are very thankful, especially because we did not expect it.”
They continued expressing their gratitude saying, “We have prepared so many new songs for our new album and we are very eager to reveal these to our fans. The fans give us so much love and support even though we have not really started our promotional activities yet and we are really thankful. We will really work hard to live up to their expectations.”
The interviewer asked them whether they had expected to be on the number 1 spot on the music program and they replied, “We have not really thought about that, the members did not even discuss this matter. Instead of focusing on becoming number 1 we focused more on the fact that we wanted to show our fans the things we have not been able to show yet. We just think that if you do your best, you will reach great achievements.”
The next performance the girls will be aired on Oct. 22 on MBC’s “Show! Music Core” and on Oct. 23 on SBS’s “Inkigayo.” They will also perform on the “SM Town Live” in New York on Oct. 23.
