Hwanhee Joins South Korean Army Today
Former Fly to the Sky member Hwanhee has joined the South Korean army today. He will first complete the four-week boot camp program before serving as a public service employee for 23 months.
As a farewell to his fans, Hwanhee uploaded a letter on his online fan café last week saying, “Thank you for giving me so much love over the past 10 years. Finally, I’m enlisting in the army on October 27. I’ll come back as a more mature and better man. Please wait for me just a bit. My fans will always be in my heart and I believe Hwanhee will always be in my fans’ heart. I love you all so much.”
Hwanhee debuted in 2000 as a member of Fly to the Sky with Brian Joo. Following the breakup of the group, Hwanhee worked as a solo singer while also producing a new idol group, MYNAME, who’s expected to have their comeback performance today.
Good luck to Hwanhee and hope to see him soon!
