Davichi's Lee Hae Ri to Replace Kang Min Kyung On KBS "Immortal Song 2"
Davichi’s talented singer Kang Min Kyung is set to be replaced by her talented group compatriot Lee Hae Ri on KBS “Freedom Declaration Saturday – Immortal Song 2.” According to Davichi’s agency Core Contents Media, “Kang Min Kyung will leave the show after today’s (Nov. 7) ‘Immortal Song 2’ best of the best special recording.”
Her agency official continued by stating that “Kang Min Kyung is currently participating in the recording of the MBN Sitcom ‘Vampire Idol’ and because it was difficult to schedule time with this and ‘Immortal Song 2,’ we decided that she should leave the show.”
They also explained that “It takes a lot of time to arrange a song, practice the song and others for ‘Immortal Song 2’ and since we didn’t want to try fit it into her tight schedule and do a slapdash job of it, we asked the production staff for consent for her to leave the show.”
Kang Min Kyung’s replacement on the show will be her fellow Davichi member Lee Hae Ri, who was previously on the show and has already proven her talent by taking first place on the show when she appeared last September.
Davichi’s agency states that “We believe that Lee Hae Ri will be able to successfully fill in for Kang Min Kyung” and that “There is a sense of burden attached since she is making a re-appearance on the show but she will try her best.”
Another member confirmed to be leaving Immortal Song 2 is Infinite’s Woo Hyun, who will be replaced by SG Wannabe’s Lee Suk Hoon and K Will. His last performance on the show will be shown on air on November 5, while Kang Min Kyung’s last performance will be aired on November 19 during the “Immortal Song 2 – Best of the Best” special featuring SISTAR’s Hyorin, F.T. Island’s Lee Hong Ki, MBLAQ’s G.O, Jay Park, Ali and Huh Gak.
