“Star Audition” Kwon Ri Sae to Join Key East Entertainment’s New Idol Group?
MBC “Star Audition” contestant Kwon Ri Sae, who also appeared in MBC “We Got Married” with David Oh, is reported to be a strong candidate for Key East Entertainment’s new idol group. The girl group tentatively titled “Bae Yong Joon Girls,” for their ties with the head of their agency, is expected to debut early next year, with six or seven total members.
“Kwon Ri Sae is getting vocal and dance trainings with the goal of debuting next year. But we’re not sure if she will debut through a girl group or a co-ed group. We’ve picked several other trainees too and they’re all training hard now,” a Key East representative said.
“Except for Kwon Ri Sae (who’s Korean-Japanese), the rest of the members will be comprised of Koreans. Once they debut, we’re planning to have them co-promote with AKB48 in Japan,” the official added.
Kwon Ri Sae signed with Key East last July after reaching stardom through MBC “Star Audition.” The former Miss Japan speaks fluent Japanese, and Key East plans to turn her into a multi-entertainer, using her dancing and singing skills as well as her bilingual ability.
