Song Joong Ki Sheds Flower Boy for Dark Brooder

Actor Song Joong Ki graced the cover of the January edition of fashion magazine “Ceci,” where he shed his sweet, flower boy image for a gloomier and darker Song Joong Ki. The concept of the spread was to show the actor’s “growing pains” and express the concerns, conflicts, and uneasiness he experiences as a twenty-seven-year-old actor.  

The pictorial showed a different side of Song Joong Ki, giving fans a taste of a mysterious, brooding Song Joong Ki. Additionally, the BTS video of Song Joong Ki’s photoshoot went viral via Youtube. The video added to the look and feel of the spread as it showed Song Joong Ki getting into his character. The digital issue of the magazine will feature Song Joong Ki’s January 2012 “CeCi” cover as a moving picture.

The pictorial is also easily accessible for overseas fans, as the iPad app for “Ceci” is available on iTunes.

Song Joong Ki has been busy with several projects in 2011. He recently released his rom-com “Penny-Pinching Romance” with actress Han Ye Seul and starred as the younger version of King Sejong the Great in drama “Deep Rooted Tree.” Currently, he has reunited with “Rio” co-star Park Bo Young for another movie titled “Wolf Boy.”
