Ha Jung Woo and Gong Hyo Jin's "Love Fiction" Opens to Box Office Success
“Love Fiction,” the romantic comedy movie starring Ha Jung Woo and Gong Hyo Jin opened to a strong showing on the box office. Local news agencies report records from the Korean Film Council took in over 160,000 admissions, which takes the film on its way to become a box office hit.
The movie screened in a little under 500 cinemas nationwide. “Love Fiction” accounted for 48% of all admissions on its opening day, which beat “Nameless Gangster” to gain the top spot. Incidentally, Ha Jung Woo is playing the lead in both films.
In “Love Fiction,” Ha Jung Woo plays a 31-year-old author with writer’s block. He meets Hee Jin, played by Gong Hyo Jin, his dream woman. The movie is described as a male version of the Hollywood hit “Bridget Jones’ Diary.”
