Big Bang and 2NE1 Releases Japanese Album on Same Day "Family Competition?"
Big Bang and 2NE1 that are the two biggest groups of YG Entertainment released their first Japanese albums on the same day today, March 28.
Big Bang’s new album “ALIVE” has the concept of “From Asia to the World.” It contains the Japanese versions of the 5th mini album songs and also has two more new songs added in. Big Bang plans to go back and forth between South Korea and Japan for promotions. Eventually they are also planning on promoting in Thailand.
2NE1’s album is like a “Best of Album” which contains Japanese original songs and also the Japanese versions of Korean hit songs such as “Fire” and “I Don’t Care.”
CL talked about the album through Oricon Style saying “Because it was our first album being released in Japan, we put in a lot of effort to make music that would make you happy and surprise you.”
Both Big Bang and 2NE1 will appear at an R&B Hip Hop festival in Japan on March 31. The festival will have other big acts such as LMFAO and David Guetta.
