SBS K-Pop Star Season 2 Slated for November

It looks like the highly popular audition program SBS “K-Pop Star” will return for a second season! On March 30 SBS made an official announcement that there will be a season 2 in November. A representative of SBS stated, “Just like season 1, SME, YGE, and JYPE will all join with the same judges BoA, YG, and JYP.”

Currently the three judges are all excited by the success of the first season of “K-Pop Star” and want to produce a better second season. A representative of SBS stated, “Season 2 will maintain all the strengths of ‘SBS K-Pop Star’ and add even more so that it will become South Korea’s best program.”

The representative also stated, “Because ‘K-Pop Star’ has a system where the winner will be debuted by one of the big three agencies SME, YGE, or JYPE, we believe that there will be a lot of skilled contestants for the second season.”
