Super Junior's Siwon Receives Birthday Greeting from Famous Author Paulo Coelho

Super Junior’s Siwon received a slew of birthday greetings on his special day but a surprise birthday wish came from none other than the famous novelist, Paulo Coelho!

On Siwon’s birthday last April 7, the author used his Twitter account and sent a tweet to Siwon. Paulo Coelho wished him a happy birthday and told Siwon to be a warrior of light. Siwon responded saying that he is a fan of Paulo Coelho. Paulo Coelho responded with another tweet telling Siwon to inform him if he is in Europe. He added that Siwon’s fans are warriors with all the love and support that they have for Siwon.

Siwon replied to let Paulo Coelho know that he was in Paris for Super Junior’s “Super Show 4” concert and that he will be heading off to Shenzen, China next. He also mentioned that his fans are like his family and that he would like to meet the author one day. Siwon also posted another tweet to send a polite word of thanks and said that “if we meet later, I hope you will sign my book.”

The exchange of tweets has sparked interest amongst netizens as it’s not very common for a K-Pop idol to have a renowned author as an acquaintance. Fans were amazed that the two even have a connection.
