After School Causes Stir with Japanese Deodorant CF
After School’s latest Japanese commercial for a deodorizing spray by Unilever was released in Japan today and has been causing quite a stir among the Internet community.
In the commercial, the eight ladies of After School dance to the beat of their newest Japanese single “Dilly-Dally” and endorse the product by having all the members lift their arms. The commercial used the catch phrase, “Idols don’t get sweaty.”
According to the Japanese advertisement company Model Press, “The appeal of the commercial is the way Nana and the rest of the members boldly expose their underarms.”
Netizens who came upon the commercial commented, “So this is how popular After School is in Japan, “ “They look good and professional,” “The position is a little embarrassing,” and “The bodies of the eight members are no joke.”
