Have you caught the latest anachronisms in fantasy historical drama “Dr. Jin?”  Eagle-eyed netizens were able to spot not just one but several amusing errors in the popular time-traveling series. In the most recent episode of “Dr. Jin,” starring Song Seung Heon and Park Min Young, netizens observed a security camera standing tall in the middle of Joseon. Additionally, they also noticed that Song Seung Heon’s cell phone had great LTE reception over a hundred years before phones, let alone cell phones, were even invented. While there’s no way to cover up piercing holes, many netizens also considered Park Min Young’s noticeable hole in her ear another flaw in the series.

Based on a Japanese manga, “Dr. Jin” is a fantasy-medical-sageuk that tells the story about Jin Hyuk (Song Seung Heon), a cold-hearted, talented neurosurgeon who travels back in time to the Joseon Dynasty where he performs neurosurgery using only the primitive tools from the era. While stuck in the past, he meets a nobleman’s daughter who bears a striking resemblance to the girl he loves in 2012. “Dr. Jin” airs every Saturday and Sunday nights at 9:55PM KST on MBC.
