Idols Who Are Mistaken as the Maknaes of their Group
We decided to compile a list of idols who are often mistaken as maknaes in their respective groups because of their bubbly personalities and adorable aegyos.
Scroll through the list by clicking on the arrows at the bottom right hand corner of the black box!
2NE1’s Sandara Park
Sandara was born in 1984, and she is 27 years old. The real maknae in 2NE1 is Minzy, who was born in 1994. Yet, Sandara’s baby face is one of the key reasons why people mistake her as the baby of the group.
BEAST’s Yang Yoseob
Born in 1990, Yoseob is 22 years old, just a year older than BEAST’s youngest member, Song Dong Woon. Many people confuse Yoseob as the youngest because the real maknae appears more mature and older than him.
2PM’s Wooyoung
Jang Wooyoung was born in 1989 and is 23 years old, while the real maknae, Chasung, is a year younger than him. Jang Wooyoung’s adorable face is one reason why he seems like the youngest member.
Kara’s Han Seung Yeon
Born in 1988, Han Seung Yeon recently turned 24 years old! She’s six years older than the real “giant baby,” Kang Ji Young, who was born in 1994. Known as the “fake maknae” with her fans, her petite figure and sweet, hamster-like face are two reasons why she gets mistaken as the youngest member in Kara.
T-ara’s Boram
Boram is 26 years old, but her cute baby face and small frame are two reasons why many mistake her as the youngest. T-ara’s latest member, Dani, who will join the team later this year, is the newest maknae. Born in 1999, Dani is only 14 years old.
Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon
While almost everyone is aware that Seohyun is the youngest member in Girls’ Generation, Taeyeon’s aegyo, adorable facial expression, and playful speech make people do a double take. It’s been said that when Girls’ Generation first debuted, many people believed Taeyeon was the baby of the group!
