CN Blue Plans to Enlist for Military Service Together
Four member rock band, CN Blue discussed their plans regarding military enlistment on cable channel tvN’s talk show, “Baek Ji Youn’s People Inside.”
This is the first time since debut that CN Blue has made an appearance on a talk show by themselves.
All of the members are in their early 20s. If they were normal citizens, they would have already been enlisted for military service. CN Blue shared their thoughts, “We saw that we probably could all go as a band. If it’s possible, we want to go together.”
They added, “Because we’re a band, it’s hard if even one member is gone. If we all enlist together, we can hold a concert as soon as we get out.”
CN Blue members are all trying to pursue acting as well as music. Lee Jong Hyun was able to start his acting career through “A Gentleman’s Dignity.” He shared a behind-the-scenes story of how he became casted for the drama. At first, he hesitated to act the role because of the speaking accent. However, he decided to go for it because of Jung Young Hwa.
Leader Jung Young Hwa said at the time to motivate Lee Jong Hyun, “Ok, then don’t do it. If you don’t, I will tell our company and I will take the role.”
Lee Jong Hyun explained, “Young Hwa hyung said, ‘You’re going to regret it. But you should do what you want.’ He came out really strong.” And it wasn’t easy for Lee Jong Hyun to start his acting. He had to pass 7 auditions rounds to get the part and he lost 7kg (~15 pounds) and his beautiful skin suffered.
CN Blue also shared their thoughts regarding their debut, their activities in Japan and also their plans to break into the European market.
