Ha Jung Woo Catches Drunk-Driving Hit-and-Run Culprit

On November 14, Ha Jung Woo’s agency made a press release stating that the actor caught a hit-and-run drunk driver himself after being hit by the car. Ha Jung Woo was lightly hit by a car on November 12 around 10:30pm at a crossroad. The driver stopped for a few seconds, but ended up driving away from the scene. Ha Jung Woo followed this car for approximately 200m to stop the car and call the police. 

The driver first argued that he wasn’t aware of any physical contact made between the car and Ha Jung Woo. However, it turned out that the driver was drunk with 0.174% blood alcohol content. Ha Jung Woo and the driver went to the nearest police station to sort out the logistics. In the end, the driver was fined for drunk driving and Ha Jung Woo decided not to file a suit against him for hit-and-run.  

Ha Jung Woo’s agency announced, “Ha Jung Woo wasn’t hurt badly, so he closed the case with the consent of the driver.”
