Kim Soo Hyun Embarks on Promo Tour in Japan for "The Moon that Embraces the Sun"
Rising Hallyu actor Kim Soo Hyun is set to embark on a promotional tour in Japan for his drama “The Moon that Embraces the Sun.” According to reports in local news agencies, Kim Soo Hyun left Korea for Japan on December 5, with the intent of kicking off a series of activities prior to the December 8 premiere of “The Moon that Embraces the Sun” on network TV station NHK.
He is expected to hold meetings with fans. In anticipation of the broadcast, drama highlights and a special interview featuring Kim Soo Hyun and co-stars Han Ga In and Jung Il Woo will be aired on NHK.
“The Moon that Embraces the Sun” was the runaway winner in ratings during its domestic run, achieving “national drama” status with a 42.2% viewership at its peak. The drama, portraying the secret love between a king and a medicine woman, had already aired in Japan in August, via satellite channel KNTV. It has already attracted much attention even then.
Kim Soo Hyun’s visit is expected to expand the drama’s viewership and raise the actor’s profile in Japan.
