The New York Times Mentions 2NE1 and Big Bang's Concerts as Two of the Best in 2012

The New York Times mentioned  Big Bang and 2NE1’s concerts as among the two best ones for the year 2012.

According to an the New York Time’s online poll, 2NE1’s August concert and Big Bang’s November concert, which were both staged at the Prudential Center in New Jersey, were picked as this year’s two best concerts.

The New York Times announced, “K-Pop received a lot of attention this year. The group 2NE1 performed on August 17, and Big Bang on November 8, at the Prudential Center, and the seats for both of the concerts were full with thousands of spectators.”

Jon Pareles, the writer of this article, wrote, “Concerts are not all about the songs. It’s also about the revolution of music, performing live, the spectacle, and the social community that is produced in such a short time within the concert.”

Singer Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj, Radiohead and Mumford & Sons were mentioned as well.
